C——— came over from les Andelys again last week. It was a neat surprise. Apparently, she got on the wrong bus to get home and it was rather lucky that the bus she ended up on was heading to Gisors. We looked for a way to get her back that evening, but the only option had a five minute window that disappeared not long after it was found.

We had dinner at the canteen as I usually do and talked about making music and movies.

Some days, I go to the internat¹ to get access to internet without using my data. K—— sits and watches television most of that time, though he’s suggested a game of ping-pong as well. He’s a great deal better at it than I. I learned by playing and watching masters, but I still have a long way to go before I’ll be beating K—— or J——.

K—— lent me a PS3 which we play from time to time. I’ve introduced him to The IT Crowd. He’s also brought a panini press, which makes simple, delicious sandwiches a really easy task. Some cheese, some meat. I ought to get some lettuce or tomato to slice and add.

We were able to make meatballs on my induction cook-top which were delicious with some slow-cooked onions, a touch of cumin, paprika and salt and a long slow cook-time. Those, too, were put on bread with emmental. We nearly put that in the panini press as well, but it’s a bit too small for the packed-full sandwiches.
